Greetings fellow Verdisians,
Happy Foundation Day! Today marks 7 years since our country started off as an idea, later becoming a reality in 2023.
Throughout all this time, we have remained motivated and strong in developing our country, and holding on to its values and aspirations. In the past year alone, we have made more progress than ever before.
We opened Representative Offices, located in the United Kingdom and Serbia. We have also been featured heavily on the media all around the world including outlets such as NBC, CNN and The Guardian.
Our e-Residency program took off, which helped to vastly increase Verdis’ budget, and offer an opportunity for people all around the world to become involved in Verdis, and potentially become citizens down the line as well.
Many other factors also helped with our funding, including support from an unofficial coin by the crypto community, along with more investors and donators.
Thanks to the funding that Verdis has built up, we have been able to operate Verdis’ representative offices, increase the quality of our programs, and increase the budget on other essential expenses such as travel to build relations, and bettering the quality and security of our passports and documents for our citizens and e-residents.
I’d like to personally thank my cabinet, and the many other Verdisians, e-Residents and supporters who have worked tirelessly to get Verdis where it is today. We still have a long road ahead, but the country’s progress is rapidly speeding up.
This month alone, we visited the United Nations Headquarters thanks to an invite from an NGO. We also held a meetup in New York City, London, and held more meetings and talks with foreign officials. We also recently started the Build Verdis Competition, allowing the community to visualise what Verdis could look like in the future as our country continues to develop.
Over the past few months, Verdis has continued to make waves in the media, which has allowed us to spread the word about our country and its journey in development and nationbuilding, and we are so excited to bring more updates in the future, including the potential opening of humanitarian trips.
Once again, thank you to everyone who have helped us make such a massive impact since the last Foundation Day. We are eternally grateful, and look forward to continuing sharing this journey with you.
