On the 9th of October, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs (Jeffrey Li) spoke at the United Nations on behalf of Verdis and Verdis’ state-run aid organisation during the United Nations General Assembly Youth Mobilisation Segment.
During his speech, he emphasised the importance of youth involvement on the international stage, particularly in regions that have been affected by conflict, humanitarian crises and other challenges.
This occasion marks another step in Verdis’ efforts to push for international presence, engagement and recognition. While Verdis continues to pursue international recognition from other states, the country remains committed to its humanitarian goals and values and demonstrates that through international cooperation, diplomatic outreach and humanitarian initiatives.
