As we bid farewell to an extraordinary year and welcome 2024, we reflect on the accomplishments achieved throughout 2023.
This year has brought both positives and negatives. Noteworthy accomplishments include our strengthened efforts to build relations with neighboring states, our humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine, increased surveying and safety checks in Verdis, and the establishment of a brief permanent settlement in October. Unfortunately, this settlement was invaded and destroyed by Croatian authorities—a clear violation of Verdis’ integral right to the land and international law.

While the invasion has been a setback for the country, we remain confident that we will soon resume our permanent settlement and aim to establish friendly dialogue with the Republic of Croatia in the near future.
